Common questions
A locked app opened without a challenge
Check that Nepsis still has Screen Time access (iOS Settings, Screen Time, Apps with Screen Time Access). If you just earned a window, the app stays open until it ends, then locks again by itself.
Messages, and only Shorts
Messages from locked apps still arrive; only opening the app is locked. iOS can't block only Shorts, so lock youtube.com and the YouTube app.
The free plan says I picked too many
Free locks up to three on each device. Picking a whole category counts each app in it, plus one for the category, since it also covers its websites and apps you install later. Premium removes the limit on every device.
Using Nepsis on an iPhone and an iPad
Sign in with the same account on both. Your progress, streak, settings, Premium and done for today follow you; what's locked is picked on each device, because Apple keeps Screen Time choices on the device they were made on. You, Devices lists them all.
Nepsis on a Mac
The iPad app runs on Apple silicon Macs, but Screen Time can't lock apps there, so on a Mac Nepsis shows your stats and lets you train. Locking happens on your iPhone and iPad.
My streak reset
A day counts when your apps were locked and you solved a challenge, let an impulse pass, or called it done for today, in your own time zone. Days on the web or a Mac alone need only the win. Your longest streak is always kept.
An emergency code doesn’t work
Each code works once, and only until the time your assistant gave it. A newer code voids the older one. After five wrong codes in an hour, entry pauses until the hour is up. "Accept codes from my assistant" must be on in the app (Settings, Assistant).
Restoring or cancelling Premium
Restore from You, Premium, signed in to the same Apple Account. To cancel, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Nothing you’ve done is lost.
